Freedom guiding the people

Freedom guiding the people

Freedom guiding the people is a painting painted by Eugène Delacroix in 1830. In the painting you can see first, a woman holding a gun and the French flag. This woman represents in this painting the freedom. On the left of the woman you can see a quite rich man holding a gun too. And under the woman there are dead people and a man looking the freedom. On the right of the woman there is a young boy holding like everybody in the painting a gun. But he is holding two guns. Behind the rich man there are a lot of people, but there is smoke behind this, so we can't see what happens behind the crowd. But the crowd is shouting, holding a gun or a sword. The smoke is originated behind the young boy, and behind the smoke we can see some buildings.

This painting has light colours in the middle, and dark colours on the right, and on the left of the painting, like the freedom induced light to the people.
